According to Braun Entertainment president ERV BRAUN, The AMATEUR
OPEN scheduled for November 12th through 16th at
Arizona Cycle Park, just west of Phoenix, may experience the biggest
turnout of riders ever. Braun said; "Judging from the calls and e-mails
we are receiving, we know a lot of west coast racers will attend The
Amateur Open instead of traveling to Florida for Thanksgiving. With the
shape the economy is in, racers have to choose events that are in close
proximity to their home, yet still gives them the exposure needed, for
their careers." Braun added; "As announcers, Zegin and I are in unique
positions to give racers coverage while they are attending our event.
More importantly, we follow them throughout the year at all the
nationals, with a built in memory bank of who attended and who didn’t.
We know the racers, and they know us."
With the postponement of the east coast "MX Idol event" to 2009, The
AMATEUR OPEN will now host the first FREE Guardian seminar, teaching
riders about sponsorship, management, attitude, and the motocross
industry itself. The seminar is for all Amateur Open attending riders
and their families. Erv Braun stated; "We have the experience of the
sport and the passion needed to teach riders the tools to mold their
careers. We believe the seminar may be the most important two hours of a
racers career, and reason enough in itself, to attend this year’s
AMATEUR OPEN."
Erv Braun added; "We are also very proud to announce a great added
safety feature at this year’s event…..Steve Augustine’s ASMF (Action
Sports Medical Foundation) Mobile Safety Unit. The unit and its staff
create a warm and friendly atmosphere, a sort of ‘comfort zone’ for the
families, with their presence. They are co-funded by the Road 2 Recovery
Foundation, who thanks to Anita Button, have been an Amateur Open
fixture over the past years." Donations will be accepted at the event,
by the Foundations.
"See you at THE AMATEUR OPEN!"
