The First American Motocross Idol
AMERICAN MX IDOL SCORING AND FORMAT

SCORING RULES:
SCORING FOR THE AMERICAN MX IDOL IS UNIQUE: Each class is scored with a points system (Maximum amount of points possible per class is 100) All riders receive 20 points, in all classes entered, for attending the FREE Guardian Seminar. All riders will then be scored by judges, and have the opportunity to earn from 0 to 30 points, in all classes entered, for their attitude, personality and stage presence while receiving their Guardian Diplomas. Each rider, in each class entered, can score from 0 to 50 points for racing 2 or more motos, per class.
All classes will race at least two motos. In regular 2 moto classes, the first moto is a qualifier for gate position, and will count from 0 to 10 points. This starts a running score in that class. The second moto is the final, and will count from 0 to 40 points (both motos count for overall scoring).
Classes with more riders than the track can safely accommodate, will be split into divisions. Riders will race their first moto in their respective divisions for qualifying positions in the finals, scoring from 0 to 10 points, and starting their running score in that class. A second (last chance qualifier) moto will be run, giving riders that did not qualify out of the first moto a second chance to a position in the finals, and will score from 0 to 7 points. For all riders that qualify, the final motos, in each class, will count from 0 to 40 points toward final scores.

RIDERS WITH THE HIGHEST SCORE (IN EACH CLASS) WILL BECOME THE MX IDOL OF THE CLASS! FROM THIS ELITE GROUP OF MX IDOLS, OUR JUDGES WILL SELECT THE FIRST AMERICAN MX IDOL! THIS ONE RIDER WILL REPRESENT BRAUN ENTERTAINMENT, AND WILL RACE FREE AT FIVE MAJOR EVENTS IN 2009, PLUS THE 2009 AMERICAN MX IDOL TO DEFEND THEIR TITLE!

A MORE DETAILED OVERALL FORMAT:
Riders will first race qualifying motos in the classes they have entered, for transferring positions to the finals. From 0 to 10 points will be awarded for qualifying positions, making first motos important, but not crucial, to overall scores. After all first motos are completed, invited speakers and The Braun Family, will conduct a FREE Guardian Seminar for all riders and families. The free seminar/clinic is a $235 "hands-on workshop" teaching riders how to speak positively, get sponsored, and start making money for their selves. For attending the seminar/clinic, 20 points will be added to the scores in all classes that riders are entered in. Upon completion, Guardian Diplomas will be handed out. As riders walk upon a stage to receive their diplomas, judges will award from 0 to 30 bonus points (to each of their respective classes) for each rider’s attitude, presentation, and stage presence, during the receiving of their diplomas. Judges may interact with the riders at any time with questions and/or comments. Accumulated points will be combined together to give each rider their running score in each class. Riders can race multiple classes and scores can vary in the different classes they participate in. Last chance qualifiers will then be run for remaining positions into the finals, giving riders that didn’t qualify a second opportunity to compete in their selected classes. From 0 to 7 points will be awarded for qualifying positions from the LCQ’s, still giving those riders a chance to become an "MX IDOL". The final motos will then be raced and points will be awarded depending on finishing positions. (40 points for 1st, 39 points for 2nd, 38 points for 3rd, etc.) The maximum amount of points that can be acquired per class is 100…A perfect score!
In each class, one racer will score the most points, and will become the first MX IDOL of their class. In a class with a tied score, the racer with the best finishing position in the final moto would break the tie and be crowned THE MX IDOL of the class. Out of this select group of class MX IDOLS, our judges will chose ONE AMERICAN MX IDOL! This chosen AMERICAN MX IDOL will be sponsored by BRAUN ENTERTAINMENT in 2009 and have the opportunity to RACE FREE AT FIVE MAJOR MOTOCROSS EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES! (The Lake Whitney Spring Classic, Texas; The World Mini Grand Prix, Las Vegas; Ponca City Grand National Championships Oklahoma; Branson Motocross Championships, Missouri and The Amateur Open Of Motocross, Phoenix, Arizona)….plus FREE ENTRY TO THE 2009 AMERICAN MX IDOL event, to defend their title.
